watch.rubber.

so tonight i sat down and watched rubber, a film by quentin dupieux. basically its an entire movie about a tire that rolls around and blows people's heads off. i must admit i approached the whole idea with some trepidation and even after watching it i still can't seem to make sense of it all. my initial attraction to the movie was that the score was done by mr oizo and gaspard augé (justice). gaspard also has a cameo apperance as a hitchiker in the movie and the soundtrack is not bad. the ending is my favourite; robert is reincarnated as a tricycle and he gathers his band of tire brothers to roll up into hollywood and blow up some heads. this is where gaspard's influence is evident and the closing track has a distinct justice sound. what can be said about this movie in its entirety? charmingly odd.
